We brought Evan home today. It is so nice to have him here, but it was hard to leave the girls at the hospital. He is doing so well at home. I've kept him on the same schedule they had him on in the hospital. He's eating 2 oz's now and then pretty much goes back to sleep for two and a half hours. It is nice that he is used to his schedule, I don't think tonight will be all that bad. We will see though. The only thing that went wrong is that he didn't pass his car seat test. He fit in his car seat fine, but since he is a preemie they do this thing called a car seat challenge. They put the babies in a car seat for an hour and monitor them for their heart rate and oxygen level. Since they sit at a decline some preemies have a hard time breathing and he did. So we had to buy a special car seat called a car bed. This will be temporary and they will re-do the test in a week and hopefully at that time he will be ready to go in a regular car seat.
Addyson is out of her isolette now, so it won't be long before she is home too. The Dr said maybe this weekend or early next week. I can't wait, but again that day will be bittersweet because Peyton won't be ready to come home for about 7-10 more days. She is doing well too, but has to gain some more weight.

Congrats, it sounds to me like things are really moving along for you! I remember bringing Katelyn home...we had to wake her for feedings the first week. Now she is a crazy woman we has no problem getting us up...and fast!
Trisha, I am so excited to ear that Even is home, that is so exciting yet so scary because you know that there is two more to follow! We had almost the same timing you did Penn came home first, Elle came home 2 days later and Kate came home 10 days later. It was difficult because it was winter, just remember that she is in good hands and that if you dont make it down to see her 1 day that she is ok and being very well taken care of!! You will have all of them home soon enough, then you might want to take them back!! ha ha Please call if you need anything when they all come home...we have a few tricks that worked great. Take Care

Yayyy!!! It must feel so good to have him home. Looks like you get to ease into it, huh? :) Someone said this before, but I'm going to say it again - those are three very lucky babies to have you for their mother. Take care and enjoy maternity leave to the fullest!! (wish I could go back!!)

I am glad to hear the babies are doing so well. Wow! It must be so exciting to finally have one at home with you. The other two will be with Evan before you know it. That's when the fun really begins! You and your husband look so happy in the pictures...and the babies are beautiful, too! Take care.
