The babies are almost a week old now. This week has gone sooooo fast!

On Tuesday they brought Evan to Children's hospital because of his lungs. They gave him something for his lungs so he had to be on a ventilator. He is scheduled to join his sisters again tomorrow. He is doing wonderful as well as the girls. Amazingly enough Peyton hasn't had to be on oxygen or anything! She is the smallest and doing the best. Towards the end I think she was struggling a little as her sister was taking everything from her. Addyson was very red when she was born because she got so many red blood cells for awhile. It has gotten better, but her skin in still pretty pink compared to the other 2. They were all under photo therapy lights for about 2 days, but they are all off now. Evan and Addyson have also turned in their oxygen cannulas and have graduated to breathing room air. Peyton has been able to take a bottle from the beginning. Evan just started on the bottle about 2 days ago. He still isn't quite sure about this sucking thing, but has been doing pretty good. He still has a feeding tube as does Addyson. We tried giving Addyson a bottle on Friday and she did really good, but it wore her out too much. So, she still has her feeding tube in and we will continue that for awhile longer until they know she is strong enough to try again. They are all doing great and I get nothing but good reports from the DR's. We have now got to hold all of them which has been wonderful. We try to get to the hospital to help with feedings too.
It has been tough this week bouncing back and fourth from hospitals. I can't wait for Evan to be back to the same hospital as the girls. I feel so bad leaving him. The nurses are great which helps a lot, but I can't help but feel like he is alone. This is harder than I thought. Everyday gets harder and harder to leave them. They are so precious. It is nice when we are there we can comfort them and talk to them. I really look forward to going to see them everyday. Tomorrow will be very special seeing them altogether again.

Thanks again for all of your prayers.

Tricia, I am Judy Scavo's daughter Jenny. I just wanted to tell you congrats. I am so happy for you both(well all 5)! I do understand how hard it is to leave your babies, as I had to be separated from mine for 5 days. Once they let me leave Methodist I spent every night on a chair that folds into a bed to be with my baby at Childrens. They really are great there(well at both Childrens and Methodist). When my mom told me they were transporting one of the babies, I cried because I remembered exactly how it felt...I could relate. Anyway congrats, what an amazing accomplishment for all of you! I can't wait for you to have them at home.

Trisha, I am so glad to hear that everyone is doing well, I remember those days in the NICU going back and forth, we were not sure if we lived at home or at the hospital. They look great and it sounds like they are doing wonderful, the hard work (it is hard work on bedrest!) you did on bedrest was all worth it. You and Jeff are so blessed with three healthly little babies that will keep you very busy. Please call me if you need anything and I will keep checking on you too see how things are going...before you know it the kids will be 8 months old...hard to believe mine were once 2lbs, 3lbs and 3lbs! Take care and rest!!
