29 Weeks

I had a Dr appointment on Monday. They did the same tests that they did last time. The babies all passed their tests. Unfortunately my blood pressure went up. Last Monday it was 139/91, this time it was first 137/94, but then they did it again and it was 139/104 which is pretty high. So, the Dr said that this is a good indicator that I could very well get pre eclampsia within the next 2 weeks. There is still only a small amount of protein in my urine. So, she had me do a 24 hour urine collection which was tons of fun, especially in the middle of the night! Boy, am I glad that is over. They will check that to see really how much protein I'm putting out in my urine. My Dr also mentioned because of my high blood pressure she predicts that I will have the babies at or before 34 weeks. At first I was a little sad about this, but if I can make it to 34 that is only 2 weeks away from my goal of 36 weeks. I decided not to feel so bad and really 32 weeks would be good too. I have to try to keep an open mind about this so I'm not so surprised the day they tell me I have to go to the hospital or the day they tell me it's time to have some babies! The Dr also suggested that we start steroid injections which will help the babies mature a little bit faster. I think this is mainly for their lungs to mature quicker. I had to go back to the Dr today. They did all of the same tests on the babies and they are looking beautiful. My blood pressure was a little better, today it was 144/88. The top # went up, but the bottom # went down which they felt better about. The Dr said if my blood pressure gets out of control I may have to be in the hospital. But, we will just have to take it day by day and see how it goes. She wants to see me again on Friday. Wow, 3 visits this week. I wasn't really expecting that, but I'm glad they are keeping a good eye on things.

I have some new pictures I will try to post this week.

Trisha, oh my goodness, things are progressing. I know some of this news can be over whelming the blood pressure, delivering and going to the hospital but the Dr. do a great job of doing what is best for you and the babies and they will not take them any sooner then they need to. Average triplets are born at 33 weeks so 34 makes you an over achiever!! Keep looking towards that goal. Being in the hospital is not so bad, the food is terriable so your family need to bring you food if they want you to stay there. The nurses are there in case something happens and it really may be the best place for you. Maybe I will call you tomorrow and see how your spirts are. Just remember you soon will have three little bundles of joy and you will hardly remember the bedrest. If you need anything at all or have any questions, please dont hesitate to call! Take care. Keep up on the postings!

Trisha, thanks for the update. It's good that the docs are watching everything; that means all you have to do is relax and enjoy being pregnant. Try not to worry about anything, sit outside on sunny days, then do a lot of reading on the rainy ones!
Question: how can you tell which one is Addyson and which one is Peyton? Evan is easy to spot, I'm sure!

Hi Trisha!

It's hard to get used to walking by your desk and you aren't ever there. Your presence is missed.

I imagine that they have you mediating or listening to relaxing music. Or do you just work really hard every day at RELAXING!!!

It's so cool to get to read your postings. Hopefully you'll take your laptop into delivery and keep us updated. :)

Stay well. Grow Babies Grow!!!
